HALT! Who goes there?

I always find it interesting when similar ideas from seemingly different worlds come together. On Friday, one of my admired traders reminded the world of the need to have breakfast, snacks, dinner, etc.; he sends out this reminder several times a day. From an unconnected trader came a similar suggestion, reminding us that active trading is “a more effective way of losing weight than dieting or going to the gym” because traders forget to eat. I cannot claim to be guilty of that, and I try to have my regular meals each day, and take snacks during the day.

Today, during a Lenten service sermon, a priest warned us of a motto from ‘recovery’ programs–HALT: hunger, anger, loneliness, and tiredness–things to avoid if you wish to take care of yourself.

Literally, good food for thought as we head into a new week. Just going to tuck into some mixed fruit crumble 😉
