Name for the game

I hope that I am not the only one who gets a good chuckle out of how many of the people who get their names in lights for transgressions seem to have names that fit the bill. I joked a long time ago about the aptly named Bernie Madoff.

I am just getting a bit intrigued about politics in Washington DC. Well, new Mayor Vincent Gray is in hot water over the appropriateness of the City Council hiring former mayoral candidate, Sulaimon Brown. You see where I’m heading. Now, we find a twist, with a campaign consultant of Mayor Gray’s, Howard Brooks, has a firm seeking $10 million from the city for services provided–brooking no nonsense, I’m sure. Mr. Brooks has close associations with campaign chairwoman, Lorraine Green.

You can read the Washington Post article about this saga. But, you do not have to be a fan of Dr. Seuss to look forward to how Mr. Gray, Mr. Brown and Ms. Green added different colour and shade to their various recollections of what took place. The city is being beaten black and blue over its finances, but at least many of the characters are truly colourful. Or, should that be people of colour?
